Speaker Authorization for Air Traffic Control Security

The number of incidents in which unauthorized persons break into frequencies used by Air Traffic Controllers (ATCOs) and give false instructions to pilots, or transmit fake emergency calls, is a permanent apparently growing threat. One the measures against such attacks could be use automatic speaker recognition on voice radio channel disclose potential speaker. This work describes solution for authorization system Security Transport Infrastructures Europe (SATIE) project, presents architecture system, gives details training testing procedures, analyses influence authorized system’s performance how was adapted channel.
